Lowie van Eck has signed up to participate in the Dam to Damloop 2023 and created an action page. You can sponsor Lowie by going to this link: https://supporta.cc/c8ww/skz1w9

Lowie has personal reasons for participating. Read his motivation:

β€œI have been visually impaired since birth. Unfortunately, I was only diagnosed with Optic Atrophy in 2009 when I was seventeen years old. Until 2022, I paid little attention to my visual impairment and the focus was on completing the Media Management (MBO 4), IDM (HBO-ICT) courses and the AD-PEP education study (HBO 5).

Last year I started working at Bartimeus as a teacher assistant, where I provide education and guidance to visually impaired and blind children. Working with my target group ensures that I am more aware of my own disability; Knowledge about various eye diseases to be able to perform my work optimally, but also to delve deeper into my own situation for my own personal development. Involvement in the Cure ADOA Foundation is part of this. It is nice to read stories and contributions from fellow sufferers. Because I am an avid runner, the Dam tot Damloop was a great opportunity to contribute to the goals of the foundation”

The Cure ADOA Foundation wishes Lowie good luck!
