On Saturday, March 28, 2026, we're organizing another ADOA-plus day at Hotel Van der Valk Breukelen (11:00 AM–2:30 PM, doors open at 10:45 AM). This day is for people with ADOA-plus and their loved ones to gain knowledge, ask questions, and share experiences.
Theme: hearing and seeing
This year's theme is hearing problems combined with vision problems. When both your vision and hearing deteriorate, the impact is often even greater than you might expect: following conversations takes more energy, ambient noise can be confusing, and you're more likely to miss signals from your surroundings.
During this day, we'll explore recognition, resources, and practical tips for daily life. There's also plenty of opportunity to share experiences.

with attention to hereditary hearing loss and hereditary visual disorders.
12.00 - 13.00 Catered Lunch
13.00 - 13.15 Presentation by sign language interpreter Afke Hop
13.15 - 13.30 Experience story by Saskia te Hoeve
13.30 - 14.30 Sharing experiences / peer support

- There are two sign language interpreters present: Afke Hop and Petra Achterberg.
- There are twelve spots available with a sign language interpreter screen. Would you like to use these? Please indicate this on the registration form.

- Location: Hotel Van der Valk Breukelen, Stationsweg 91 in Breukelen
The hotel is easily accessible by public transport. It is a 3-minute walk from Breukelen train station. - Parking: free, you can ask for an exit ticket at the reception.
- Where exactly: upon arrival, the people at the reception will be happy to tell you where to go.
- ChildrenThere is no children's program during this event, but children are certainly welcome. If you can arrange for supervision, children may use the pool.

For international peers, thanks to Adriaan and Chiara Melissant, translation from Dutch to English and vice versa is available. Please note: translations to and from languages other than English are not available.
