Motorcycle and Moped Museum

Motorcycle and Moped Museum

The Motorcycle and Moped Museum is located in the heart of Drenthe, Schoonoord. A giant village with a rich history surrounded by dolmens and of course the TT Circuit of Assen. This Motorcycle and Moped museum has a special collection, a museum that makes many motorcycle hearts beat faster.

Words cannot encapsulate what you are about to see here! The beginning of the motorization of the Netherlands, when the world became bigger due to the arrival of motorcycles and mopeds.

But also more than 50 different brands such as Zündapp, Kreidler, Ducati, Puch, a Scott from 1936, a Batavus from 1936 and a real Indian from 2003. Only 400 of the latter were made.

Also unique pieces such as the famous motorcycle from 1982 by Pierre Karsmakers or the Yamaha Grasshopper that has already seen a lot of the world!
By appointment
There's an opportunity to visit the museum. During this tour, nostalgic stories will be shared and the collection's origins will be explained. Memories of the past will resurface, and as Louwrens Wigchers always said: “This is The Feast of Recognition”.

The museum provides many donations to the Cure ADOA Foundation

The Motorcycle and Moped Museum is a private museum. Visits are only possible by appointment and on weekdays.
