What an incredible achievement 13-year-old Norah is currently accomplishing! Since the end of January, she has been traveling the Pieterpad in 16 stages to raise awareness for the rare eye disease ADOA(-plus).
She is not undertaking this enormous journey of no less than 500 kilometers just for the sake of it, of course. She is doing it especially for her younger sister Emmelie, who has this disease. Because there is still no cure for ADOA(-plus), Norah decided it was time for action, and we are incredibly proud of her perseverance!
🎥 Even the media did not miss this special initiative. Omroep Gelderland visited Norah and her family for a beautiful report. In the interview, Norah speaks candidly about how she sometimes felt powerless due to her younger sister's illness, but that this walk actually gives her a lot of strength.

💰 By now, Norah has already covered quite a few kilometers and has truly started the final phase of her journey. It is heartwarming to see how many people have already supported her, because thanks to all those kind donations, the counter on the fundraising page has now reached €6.260!
This wonderful amount goes directly to scientific research, so that we can hopefully stop the deterioration of vision in the future. Every euro brings us one step closer to a solution for patients like Emmelie.
🏁 We are now getting closer and closer to the grand finale on the Sint-Pietersberg in Maastricht. On April 25, Norah will walk her very last leg, and it would of course be fantastic if we could welcome her there with a large group!
