On Saturday, November 18, 2023, we celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Cure ADOA Foundation at the Parkhuys Rosarium in Thorn.
Every year we hold the day of fellow sufferers, but this year we are holding a special Anniversary Day. Everyone with ADOA or ADOA-plus and their loved ones
very welcome this day. A unique, educational and creative program has been put together for children aged 6 and over. The day is completely free
accessible!
The purpose of this day is to provide and exchange information, meet fellow sufferers and share stories and experiences. You can do it yourself
decide how you want to spend this day and whether or not you want to share your story with others. The day is celebrated annually by many
attended and experienced as very positive.

That's nice to mention Helen van Royen comes to promote her book JUICE! So you can actually meet her during this festive day!
Preliminary program:
- 10.15 – 10.30 Walk in with coffee/tea and something sweet
- 10.30 – 10.50 Short talk by the board
- 10.50 - 12.00
The children get to work creatively under supervision in a separate room
For adults there is a choice of two presentations (please register in advance at the registration form)- Group 1: Presentation on clinical genetics by Dr. AS Plomp of the Amsterdam UMC
- Group 2: Presentation about ADOA-Plus by Dr. M. Janssen of the Radboud UMC
- 12.00 – 13.00 Lunch buffet
- 13.00 - 13.45
For adults there is a workshop energy, resilience and depression provided by researchers of the Low Vision Research of the Amsterdam UMC.
The children will share experiences with Marieke and Marian from Bartiméus and with our ambassador and influencer Nina Warink. - 13: 45 - 15: 15
Adults can share experiences and gain information at the various information tables
The children can have their faces painted at Evelien - 15:15 – 16:00 pm Toast and chat

We would like to ask you to register soon so that we can organize everything properly and on time.

A few more practical things:
- Upon arrival you will receive 6 coins per person for consumption at lunch and for the rest of the day.
- Address: Parkhuys Rosarium, Molenweg 4, 3941 PT in Doorn (Google Maps).
- Parking is free, you can ask for a ticket at the reception.
- The Parkhuys Rosarium is easily accessible by public transport. Useful information for travelling: NS travel information for traveling with a disability.
- If you need help or guidance with transportation, please let us know. We are happy to think along! We can possibly pick you up from Utrecht Central Station. If you come from the North or South of the Netherlands and the distance is too far for you, we can arrange carpooling for you.
- If there is something stopping you from coming, please let us know so that we can accommodate you.
- Everyone can take fun selfies all day long with the Laughbooth, also fun for the painted children.
