Today, February 29, 2024, is Rare Disease Day worldwide ⛑️This year, Rare Disease Day is all about sharing your colors: who you are and what your story is in order to pay attention to the unique and rare in you. On this day, we join forces all over the world to advocate for equal and accessible diagnostics, care, treatment and social opportunities. A good moment to reflect on the rare disease ADOA(-plus). ADOA affects about 1 in 30.000 people, of which 10 to 20% will be affected by ADOA-plus. Around 300 million people worldwide live with a rare disease and there are more than 600 rare diseases in total.We are currently working hard to find a medicine for the impactful disease ADOA(-plus). We would like to use this day to thank everyone who makes this possible.
