Our week at the ARVO Congress in Denver was a great success. We look back on an inspiring week full of special encounters that give us great confidence in the future. As a global platform, we have been able to put ADOA(-plus) even more firmly on the international map.
👁️ It was very valuable to finally meet many researchers in person. We only knew many of them from our online series 'The Road to Treatment'. Direct contact with experts who work on solutions every day gives us tremendous energy. In addition, we noticed that the medical world is increasingly finding its way to and appreciating our foundation.
🔬During the many presentations, it became clear how many scientists worldwide are involved in research into ADOA(-plus). One of the highlights was the presentation of the latest results regarding drug research by partners such as Stoke Therapeutics., where we spoke with Steve and Alice. Contact with Sri and Ash from PYC Therapeutics and Lissa and Krista from the Vision Consortium also gave us many new insights. In addition, we spoke with Dr. Joyce Liao. We hope to welcome her to the Netherlands soon as a speaker at our own ADOA Day on October 24!
💙 Whether it involves conversations with new researchers or strengthening ties with familiar partners, the willingness to collaborate is greater than ever. An absolute highlight was the 'Dutch Dinner', to which we were invited by Magda Smoor. This was the perfect moment to catch up in an informal setting. We are returning with a wealth of new knowledge and an extensive network.
Together with these skilled experts, we remain committed to a bright future for the entire community!
