The graduation project “𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗻_𝟬𝟮𝟮.𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗳” by Kirsten Smit can be admired from August 23 to September 11 at Vaart NZ 74 in Assen. The eight by three meter high work of art definitely stands out. It's part of it Art on the Canal which will be held in Assen on September 9 and 10. Various works of art can be admired in and around the Vaart. Also during it Preuvenement Assen You can admire all the works of art on August 26 and 27.
The artwork shows Kirsten's eyes, enriched with eye scans. Kirsten has ADOA and because of this she only sees 25 percent. With this artwork she wants to show the effect ADOA has on her. The choice for a large work of art was consciously made because small objects are not clearly visible to Kirsten. “Go big or go home” is her motto.
