A wonderful initiative that we'd like to highlight: one of the first freely accessible e-learning modules on the Knowledge about Seeing Learning Square is "Visual Impairment and the Eye."

This e-learning course is designed for healthcare professionals who work with clients who (may) have a visual impairment. The module helps them better recognize and understand visual impairments and improve their support.

In 45 minutes, participants will learn:

➡️ What the terms sighted, partially sighted and blind mean.

➡️ How the eye is constructed and functions.

➡️ Which eye conditions are common.

➡️ How to communicate and support effectively.

➡️ And the importance of good lighting and psychosocial guidance.

Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of participation, which can also be used for accreditation in the free space.

A valuable initiative that contributes to greater knowledge and understanding of visual impairments. This also applies to ADOA(-plus). 👁️💬
