A new milestone has been reached in the investigation of the potential drug PYC-001. This candidate drug is being developed to address the underlying cause of ADOA. Following a 4-week evaluation, a special safety committee has officially approved the move to a Multiple Ascending Dose study.
👁️ The first phase of the study (Single Ascending Dose) shows that a single dose of 60 micrograms is safe and well tolerated by ADOA patients. Thanks to these positive results, PYC Therapeutics is now permitted to add this 60 microgram dose to the ongoing study investigating the safety and efficacy of repeated doses.
This brings science another step closer to demonstrating the clinical efficacy of the drug. The research is continuing in full swing, and the results regarding safety and efficacy will be presented in the course of 2026 and 2027.
