The Cure ADOA Foundation can now also be found on the social map DB-connect. This social map is a collection of organizations that offer specialized support to people with deafblindness. This can involve organizations that are involved in care, guidance and/or education.
DB-connect is the national information point for everything that has to do with a hearing and vision impairment. Here you can go with all your questions about deafblindness and the search for suitable care. When you are hard of hearing and partially sighted, this brings extra challenges with it.
“On the DB-Connect social map, people who are deaf and blind can easily find organizations that can offer them support. Because there may be people among the visitors of the social map who have ADOA-plus without having received the correct diagnosis, it is important that they get to know us,” says board member Hedy Smit-Wigchers.
💙👁️ We are therefore very happy with this collaboration, which came about thanks to a meeting during the ZieZo fair in April. Now that the Cure ADOA Foundation can also be found on the social map, people with ADOA(-plus) can find us a little easier again!
