Peer Support Day: a day full of beautiful moments!

Hedy gives researcher Janya Grainok chocolate

Saturday November 9th we came together with more than eighty people for a special peer support day! With a delicious lunch and inspiring lectures, it was a day to remember. Special thanks to Gabriëlle and Lotte for organizing this wonderful event!

👁️ Volunteer Peter Makai shared the latest developments in research into potential treatments for ADOA(-plus). One of those studies is the PYC Therapeutics study that has just started. Janya Grainok from PYC's Research & Development team told us more about it. We also had the opportunity to ask her questions about the study.

👁️ In the meantime, we were working hard on the ADOA podcast. During the peer support day, we recorded inspiring episodes, filled with personal stories and experiences of peers.

💬 The reactions were heartwarming and a beautiful description of this day: “It was very valuable.” “Both informative and special to have so many people with the same condition together!”

In short, a day to connect, learn and look forward together. Thanks to everyone who was there and made this day unforgettable!
