👋 Meet the new board!

The Cure ADOA Foundation board. From left to right: Lotte, Maud, Hedy, Gabriëlle and Wouter

There have been some changes in the board of the Cure ADOA Foundation in recent times. Fortunately, our work did not stop because of this, because every gap that appeared was filled in no time.

The new board mainly consists of familiar faces: Lotte de Jonge (member), Maud van Gerwen (member), Hedy Smit-Wigchers (treasurer) and Gabriëlle den Hollander-Beijer (secretary).

💙👁️ New to the board is Wouter Jongerius: our chairman. Although Wouter is also a familiar face to the foundation. You may know him from the Christmas sweater campaign or have listened to him in the ADOA podcast. Today he introduces himself to you:

"As chairman, I am committed to good visibility to the outside world, whereby the Cure ADOA Foundation is visible in society. We also ensure the correct sharing of information and provide guidance to research that takes place.

Research is important, but perhaps even more important is the financial flow that is needed for this. Keeping insight into how we can keep the balance healthy, support research and be a patient organization as a support base for fellow sufferers is a major pillar here.

The motivation to take a place on the board comes from my daughter. Every disease can be cured at some point, but to get there, there is a long process.

My organizational qualities that I perform in my company I can also apply within the foundation, I really feel that I can be an added value for the foundation. I have also been chairman of a school group for construction personnel for 10 years, which also completely on a voluntary basis and without compensation gives me a lot of satisfaction.”

“If you meet me: I am always available for a conversation and your ideas. We always want to be a listening ear for patients as well as the environment or interested parties.”

We are very pleased that Wouter, together with the rest of the board, will be dedicating his time and skills to the Cure ADOA Foundation in the coming period.
