Are you a scientist or researcher and do you want to contribute to a future without ADOA(-plus)? The Cure ADOA Foundation officially joined UitZicht on May 28. Applications for scientific research into ADOA are now processed through this central, streamlined portal.
Which tests are eligible?
We cordially invite researchers to submit project proposals focusing on, for example, the OPA1 gene, mitochondrial function, or innovative treatments for ADOA and ADOA-plus.
All applications are assessed by an independent steering group of experts and by a patient target group committee. Both the scientific quality and the relevance to people living with the condition are considered.
How do you submit an application?
The application round runs from 1 September to 1 November 2026. Project proposals can be submitted digitally during this period via the online form at www.uitzicht.nl/application-downloads.
