Review of the National Championships Running Blind: Stronger together, faster together!
Last weekend, in addition to the Anniversary Day, there was another special milestone - Lowie van Eck became Dutch Champion at the NK Running Blind! An event where runners with a visual impairment, accompanied by their buddies, participated in a 15 kilometer race!
During this edition of the event, Lowie van Eck and his buddy Danny Verheezen shined! Together they achieved the coveted victory! Their achievement perfectly symbolizes the team spirit and determination that makes Running Blind so inspiring.
We are very proud of Lowie and congratulate him and his buddy Danny on this fantastic victory!
In line with Running Blind's mission – to improve the quality of life for people with visual impairment by making safe running possible – these impressive teams showed that they can shine. They not only overcame the physical challenges of distance, but also broke the boundaries that sometimes divide us.
The activities of the Running Blind Foundation take place in regional groups, integrated into regular athletics clubs or running groups. The collaboration between the foundation and these regional groups, recorded in cooperation agreements, offers people with a visual impairment the opportunity to train and run in a group, where SRB contributes specific knowledge and experience about running with a visual impairment.
