We previously shared that drug manufacturer PYC is conducting research into a potential treatment for ADOA. This research consisted of a study of the natural history of ADOA without medication (BANKSIA) and an 'interventional study' testing medication PYC-001 (SUNDEW). Due to regulatory challenges in Europe, PYC is stopping the BANKSIA study.
🇦🇺 The SUNDEW study will continue. In order to provide reliable results for the safety of PYC-001, PYC is looking for 5 additional Australian participants with ADOA.
In addition, PYC expects to open enrollment for the multidose study in late 2025. This study will investigate the effect of multiple, repeated doses of PYC-001. The multidose study will take place in Australia, the US, and several countries in Europe.
👉 Want to contribute to this research? Send an email to sundew@pyctx.com now to pre-register. Please indicate in your email whether you are registering for SUNDEW in Australia or the multidose study.
