All the money we receive is exclusively used for research. All other costs are personally paid for by the board members or sponsored by a business partner.
At the moment, little or no research has been done on ADOA. Without research, the patient’s eyes and those of their children (and possible other problems) will get worse. This has to change and funds are needed for that. Since November 2018 we are an official foundation with a so-called ANBI-status which means that the money that is donated can be tax deductable (check with your bookkeeper). In January 2021 we already raised the first 21,000 euros, but more money is needed to finance good research.
Raising a lot of money is a big job. We will do our best to get as many grants as possible.
